Welcome to Enter the Circle of Learning. Our mission is to provide valuable educational resources for learners in a safe and secure online environment. We deeply respect the privacy of the teachers and parents who use our platform, and most importantly, the privacy of the learners themselves.

This policy is designed to be straightforward. Our guiding principles are:

  • We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide our service.
  • We never collect or store any personal information from learners (students).
  • We do not store your financial information on our servers.
  • We will never sell your personal information.

1. A Special Note on Children’s Privacy

Our platform is designed for use by teachers and parents. We do not knowingly create accounts for or collect any personally identifiable information from children. The access codes we use are for tracking content access, not individuals, and are not associated with any personal data of the end learner.

2. What Information We Collect and Why

We only collect information in two ways:

A) Information You Provide to Us

When you sign up for an account, we ask for:

  • Your Name and Email Address: We need this to create and manage your account, send you important service-related information (like purchase receipts and password resets), and provide you with customer support.
  • Your Password: Your password is saved in a secure, anonymized (or ‘hashed’) format. This means we cannot see your password. We can only help you reset it.

B) Information Collected Automatically

  • Access Codes & Usage Data: We track the use of access codes to ensure our platform is working correctly, to validate licenses, and to understand which videos and lesson plans are being accessed. This information is not linked to any personal data of the student using the code.
  • Essential Cookies: Like most websites, we use essential cookies to perform basic functions, such as keeping you logged in during your session. We do not use cookies for advertising or invasive tracking.

3. How We Use Your Information

We are committed to using your information only for the purpose for which it was collected. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Operate and maintain your account.
  • Provide you with access to the course videos and downloadable lesson plans.
  • Process your transactions securely through our payment partner.
  • Communicate with you about your account and our services.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We limit the sharing of your information to the trusted third-party providers who help us operate our service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

  • Payment Processor (WooCommerce): When you make a purchase, your payment information is sent directly to our secure, third-party payment processor, WooCommerce. We do not receive or store your full credit card details or other financial information on our servers. We only receive a confirmation that your payment has been completed.
  • Hosting Provider (WPCloud): Our website is hosted by WPCloud, a Canadian hosting company. All of your account information is stored securely on their servers located in Canada.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

5. Data Security and Retention

We take the security of your information seriously. We use technical and administrative measures, such as anonymized passwords and secure hosting, to protect your data.

We retain your account information (name and email) for as long as your account is active to ensure you have continued access to your purchased materials. If you choose to delete your account, we will permanently remove this information from our systems in accordance with our data retention policies.

6. Your Rights and Control Over Your Information

In line with Canadian privacy law, you have control over your personal information.

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time.
  • Right to Correction: You can update your name or email address in your account settings.
  • Right to Deletion (Withdrawal of Consent): You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal information.
